Inhuman

As how the Elephants remember,
We've remembered the dangers you've placed.
If the Vultures only feast on dead,
They'll feast on you and my broken dreams.
~
As how the Tigers are all fearless,
We were always opposite from them.
If the Spiders spun webs to catch dreams,
They have surely caught ours of home.
~
As how the Pikas all call warning,
We have surely forgotten to hear.
If the Death Watch Beatles sees life's end,
They have been ticking since our births.
~
As how Sharks always swim to survive,
We were dreamers thinking we were fine.
If scapegoat Lambs carry people's sins,
They have abandoned us and marked you.
~
As how Gorillas are curious,
We were doing everything we could.
If the Frogs represents a rebirth,
They've ceased to exist to keep you gone.
~
As how Giraffes use their necks to eat,
We've been eating on floors straining them.
If the Butterflies were only souls,
They've crushed yours when they've ripped out your heart.
~
The point of this poem is to teach.
Don't go out and think you'll be alright.
There are liars, thieves, killers, and more.
There are dream eaters from the night's damned.
~
If being human means having emotions,
Then I was never one of your kind.
For I've only felt nothing.
Memories are breaking down,
In this cursed shell.
To smile, I can't.
An Inhuman Empty
